Susan Pevear has been an analyst, research writer, and advisor to individuals and institutions for over 15 years.
Susan graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in economics and history, has an MBA in finance and investments from Babson College, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. In the 1990s, she was asked to teach the
nation's first graduate level course on mutual funds.
Past positions and experience include: senior research writer for Louis Rukeyser's "Wall Street Week;" senior investment analyst for Standard &
Poor's; editor of Eric Kobren's "FundsNet Insight;" senior investment strategist for BDO Seidman; and research analyst for Babson-United Investment Advisors.
She has written for "Business Week," Standard & Poor's, "The Money Experts," "Research Magazine," "The Turnaround Letter," Association of Investment Management & Research (AIMR), and the industry's first
newsletter devoted to funds -- "The United Mutual Fund Selector."
She has provided market commentary on radio and television programs such as: ABC News, CBS News, CNBC, CNN, and National Public
Radio (NPR). She has been quoted in: "The New York Times," "The Wall Street Journal," "The Washington Post," "Barron's," "The Los Angeles Times," "Business Week," and "The New York Post."
She has addressed organizations such as the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and the National Association of Fee-only Planners. She has spoken at a variety of investment conferences and colleges, as well as
consulted for corporations.
On the Board of Directors of the American Association of Individual Investors, she is also a member of Boston's Society of Security Analysts
and AIMR. In the past, she served on the Board of Directors of Middlebury College and was the first female awarded the "Scholar-Athlete of the Decade" by the college.
